Is 0patch FREE a suitable tool for keeping a Windows system reasonably secure after EOS?

mitja.kolsek -

No. 0patch FREE continues to be available (conditions apply, see this article) and we continue to add selected micropatches to the FREE plan (see this article) but we need to emphasize that 0patch FREE is by no means a suitable method for keeping Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 reasonably secure after their EOS.

While we occasionally make a micropatch for a 0day vulnerability part of 0patch FREE until the vendor has issued an official fix for it, our regular Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 security micropatches are only available with a 0patch PRO or Enterprise license.
