After a micropatch is installed (downloaded from the server and stored in the local 0patch data store), it waits there to get applied to any running process that loads the *exact* module this particular micropatch was written for. 0patch Agent includes a component called "0patch loader" that is in charge of intercepting every module load event and applying all micropatches for that module in memory before any code from that module gets executed.
In case the module associated with this micropatch is not encountered on the computer, the micropatch has no effect at all.
